Music Development
We offer two extra-curricular music programs:
Rhythm of the World is a multi-media/multi sensorial experience designed to make children aware of, and attracted to, a much larger world than they know at their tender ages. RW expands on an existing mission of early childhood learning centers in teaching children about community. A child's world begins with mom and spirals out further and further as children are exposed to ever widening communities. Parents help in this mission of expanding awareness in a number of ways. Travel to visit family members widens this community circle whether it is to the next town or to the far corners of this large nation. Increasingly, I hear from children about travel to Caribbean Islands, abroad to Europe, and points beyond. Children bring these familial experiences into RW, enriching the program experiences.
Rhythm of the World is a 12 week program that runs September - December. Cost is $14 per class or $168.00 per session.
Babes on Stage is a program, which is centered on an early theatrical appreciation experience. It stimulates imagination, and challenges children. The over-all objective is to make children feel empowered by inviting them to make decisions, which have measurable effects in all developmental domains: aural, visual, cognitive, social/emotional, small motor, and gross motor development.
- The organization of ideas
- Development of a story line
- The creation and development of characters
- Script development
- Choreography
- The meaning of the concept of props-deciding what is needed to help tell the story, materials to be used in the creation of props, and their actual manufacture.
These experiences culminate in a staged production towards the end of the semester.
Babes on Stage is a 15 week program that runs January - May. The cost is $14 per class or $210.00 per session.

Our Playground
The playground easily adapts to the seasons of the year and is a natural setting for exploration and physical development, with a sliding hill for winter fun. The playground equipment reflects the belief that physical activity is of prime important in the development of the whole child. The staff is responsible for reinforcing playground rules, keeping the children safe, facilitating problem solving and helping with activities that require adult interaction. It is our belief that the imaginative child is one who should not be controlled or intervened with, but should be free to create, play.
