MEET OUR DIRECTOR
A Note from Manon Kotkowski, Director
Thank you for visiting the Exeter Day School website. I am honored to be the director at this wonderful preschool. I am a former member of the Board of Directors for EDS as well as a Parents Committee member. While a parent at EDS, I worked for the Epping Recreation Department as their Before and Afterschool Director and Camp Director for students K-8. My husband and I live in Exeter with our daughter who is now an EDS Alum and our son who is a current student at EDS.
I am certified in Early Childhood Administration by the state of New Hampshire.
We have earned an excellent reputation based on our outstanding curriculum, taught by a warm, nurturing staff of professionals. We are extremely proud of our dedicated and energetic staff. Our teachers and assistants are carefully selected, and go through an intensive screening process. All of our staff has been trained in First Aid and CPR for children.
Our teacher/child ratios insure lots of individual attention and close supervision. Children are encouraged to develop at their own pace in a non-competitive environment.
Choosing a preschool is an important decision. Entrusting the care of your child to others is a big step, for parents and children.
Preschool is the introduction to a lifetime of learning. It is a journey that should start off on the right path. Children will learn skills as they prepare themselves for tomorrow’s opportunities. Our enthusiastic teachers genuinely care about children and have a strong interest in Early Childhood Education.
Our classrooms are bright, cheerful and clean. They are well-equipped to meet the creative and growing needs of our students. We have an amazing music program taught by Mr. Lassonde. Each class has music for thirty minutes once a week. In addition to the preschool classes, our school offers a wide variety of extracurricular classes such as Spanish, cooking, science, art, yoga, musical theater, rhythm of the world and rock the beat.
Our school also provides families an Extended Care Program. As a division of the school, Extended Care enriches EDS by providing opportunities for students to learn skills for creative expression, work together in mixed age groups, and regroup before or after the school day. Children can come to EDS, as early as 7:30 AM and stay as late as 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Children are able to play independently or with friends inside and outside, enjoy nature walks, create arts & crafts projects, participate in fun sensory activities and enjoy continued literacy experiences. This program is a celebration of play, creativity, and learning outside the classroom setting.
Young children love to learn about their world. They enjoy the opportunity to socialize with children their age while learning to “play away from home.” At Exeter Day School, children are involved in “active learning” through exploration and play. Our programs give young children the opportunity to practice and develop their many emerging skills in a safe and loving environment.
Please come by and visit our school at any time. Appointments are not necessary.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
All the Best,
